I tried my sisters newer model recon and it was nice and convenient with pocket use so I bought one my self .. but decided to go with the older version pictured in the video and it’s less stiff, more comfortable. I really like this backpack because of the side mesh pocket which I can use to store n hold my 40oz hydro flask and strap it in securely. Overall the older version only has one downside which is the side mesh pocket isn’t nearly as big, but it still holds the 40oz hydro flask nicely with the strap in place. This side mesh pocket with the strap feature along with the convenient and accessible pockets had me sold on the backpack alone. The quality and thickness of the backpack are noticeable when you touch it compared to other brands like Swiss. Overall really happy with this purchase. The older version costed me $120 plus $17 tax, even tho the newer versions were around $95 I opted for the older model because many have complained that the hard backing for the newer models is uncomfortable. Everything on the older model is more comfortable from the straps when you wear it to the back plate in the back piece , and I noticed it immediately after switching from my sisters newer model recon to my older model recon I purchased on amazon in brand new condition. A bit pricey and taxed but I would say it’s worth it and I hope this backpack lasts me a while !

Just FYI with most bags the front pocket is designed for a helmet (in the pocket) not sure if this is large enough.

Just wanted to know if you have dealt with them before as I am based in the UK and want to make sure it will be a 2017 model.
