I just bought myself the mountain 25.. brilliant quality tents.. only used a couple of times but i cannot wait for the conditions to use it.. the pockets primarily used as snow anchors.

This is one of the most extreme tents every made. A lot on Everest and other BM adventures. Hilleberg is the only tent that is better!

Camping Simon is so groovy! He’s totally into his tent which I think is so out of sight and this tent is so Foxy! Black Fly – Rain Fly… hey brother, use them triangle pockets for whatever your heart desires. Hell, put your bandannas in them. I ordered my VE 25 because of your video brother, so thank you! Keep them videos coming bro.

When I don’t need to use snow stakes, I am going to use them as pockets, thanks for the idea!

Snow stakes Snow stakes, Snow stakes LOL I told my wife it was her yellow bikini. LOL what does she know ? The look was priceless. However, i wish you told use what the short alloy tube was for. I almost went over the edge in that one. It IS a broken pole repair part, so if you break a pole don’t break 2 ! The cryptic instructions don’t mention any red tab tent body to rain fly either , but that was self evident. 15 alloy stakes is not enough, but I don’t have a total count for if you want to use every place that could take one. YOU did have a lot to do with my purchase which arrived yesterday 2/15/18.

What is this location? I am in NH near the White Mts. I can’t believe you let a black fly go……

Oh yeah, I am not thrilled with the rain fly tabs having to go under the poles to catch the grommets. I am looking for a better way, but haven’t had the tent 24 hours yet. The tabs just don’t line up well as they are IMO. I am OCD and hate wrinkles . I also had a skewing problem (first time setting one of these up), but used 2 of the 9 velcro rain fly tabs to assist. next time I set this up I will use the central velcro at the top dead center for starters.

I do have snow now and did use snow shoes to tramp down a spot. Even with a foot print (TNF) that tent floor on snow is cold and condensates rapidly, but just exactly where our body heat was on the inner floor.

My wife took a few stills I am willing to share with anyone, but I don’t believe I can add images to text here. Hope to meet up on the trail one day! 🙂

No brother, the yellow pockets are call dead men, you fill them with snow or rocks when you don’t have a good place to put stakes. You fill them tie the guide wires to them dig a little hole in the snow or sand drop them in and cover them up with snow or sand.
