As always great review and I enjoyed how you presented the shoe during a race…real time comments is awesome. In addition to you final thoughts, please add the Inov-8 G 300 to the head to head in your comparison. All 3 seem to be getting after the ultra distance with comfort in mind. And of course now we have Salomon ultra glide to compete…Life is good haha

Great review Kevin. I ran the Kerry Way Nite Ultra last week in the Flight Vectivs. The route runs along road/fire road surfaces as well as open mountain and forest trails. Some of the terrain is pretty gnarly but the shoes were excellent throughout. No issues on the downhills. A bit of slight slippage once or twice when scrambling uphill but nothing too serious. They are now my go-to long distance shoe. I bought the Cloudultra’s months ago in preparation for the same race, but no matter how much I tried, I found them unusable for me on Irish wet and gnarly trails. The grip on wet mossy rocks and roots is non-existent to the point of being lethal and the midsole never softened enough to be comfortable. The upper is supremely comfortable but running in them breaks my heart every time I give them another chance. They’re my hiking shoes at this point. But, this is all personal. Two highly placed UTMB(Female/Male) runners looked to have no issues running in them this year. As for the Flight Vectivs, they are eye wateringly pricey but give me excellent running form and cruising speed over the big miles
