I can never understand why people get their nickers in a twist when you say you don’t like something they like…it’s bizarre. I’m a huge tomb raider fan, and there is a huge disparity between peoples opinions on the game generations. So, I really am not a fan of Legend, Anniversary and Underworld, and the upset I get from voicing this opinion is astounding. If you don’t agree, just move on with your life, I’m literally reaching out to people who have similar feelings to me and to start a discussion. Really, if you don’t like something then you are only missing out on something people get a lot of enjoyment out of.

I do think there’s this weird thing of celebrities sort of ‘infiltrating’ YouTube because they’ve realised you can gain from it, whereas in the past I feel that they’d have been more likely to look down on YouTubers. Another thing is corporations trying to get in on it to promote themselves or someone they benefit from, and YouTube definitely feeds in to that by putting talk shows and stuff on the trending page, even when they’re not getting as many views or engagement as a YouTuber’s video

I think a lot of people who upload to YouTube are still using it in the same way it used to be used, like to show videos to family/friends, I have a friend who does little vlogs that don’t get many views but she just enjoys making them to show us and I like to watch them as her friend. There’s something charming about watching a channel with less subs, it feels more personal and you don’t get the impression that they’re being fake or doing something only for the money
