I would like to throw in the idea that if the creator of these shoes does not want to associate them with the fashion industry, they should not be. So we can recognize that, while indeed, these objects are experiments in design, they just so happen to fit a foot, but their primary purpose is to look provocative. I would say that he is a good artist, or good marketer, good salesman, but not a good designer, the shoes being more akin to good art pieces (and here we go into good art vs bad art debate) rather than good shoes.

This is just a trend, it would be hard to name this designs “timeless”, but it would take its place in design history.

Awesome idea for video, i hope to see Balenciaga soon also. I hope that foam runners are at least recyclable or biodegradable, otherwise they are gust overpriced Crocs that look even worse than them. Other than that, he is just one crap of marketing and style that has a huge exposure and audience. I’m glad that Yeezy exist because ugliness now has quite a new meaning but I’m horrified how popular it become.
