Good split for both sides. Ye doesn’t have the personality to work as a business partner. Love the guy but he will be better served purchasing his own factories and going full on independent in the clothing space.

L for the GAP. I thought the GAP was closed down and out of business until I heard he signed with them a couple years ago, and we never even got anything out of the collab lol. Imagine having the one and only person that could save your company and they just let him walk away

Ye did nothing wrong, GAP CEOs tried to play him just like Adidas have been playing him except unlike Adidas they actually broke contract and I assume Ye had more experience after being finessed by Adidas to be more specific in his contract so that it aligns with his goals and this early termination of a symbiotic relationship turned parasitic is the result.

I think GAP just wanted to slap his name on some shirts to sell them at a markup, and Ye was actually trying to create a fashion line. I think the stuff with Adidas might get worked out over the next 4 years, but the thing with GAP looks over and done.
