Resellers like this are the reason the prices have been going up so much at thrift stores. These stores are for people who can’t afford the nicer things but could get something similar to get by.
So what you should say is….”instead of leaving a very nice coat at a reasonable price at the store for someone who is actually struggling and will need a good coat this winter, my wife and i are going to take it and sell it to someone who has the extra money to buy it online or has access to a computer instead of a homeless person or someone on a strict budget.”
While im definitely not against people starting their own businesses and bettering themselves…please remember who these kinds of stores are for…not for people to make money but to be able to furnish their homes and provide for themselves and their families in a time of a great economical recession.
