We already know the COGS for this is just over half a billion. The billion number is probably based on the mark-up. There would be a loss if adidas tried to sell at YEEZY prices.

Donate half with no ínsole and sell half without YEEZY branding at a reduced price.

I understand the fear some, in Turkey or neighboring Europe, will exploit the charity if the shoes are donated, and likelihood is that is exactly what will happen. But selling them doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

I’m sure Rørsted was not allowed to do anything but keep the ship steady until Gulden took the helm. That means two months a mulling over limited options.
