Strange things i also found while going thru coat pockets besides cash was a set of car keys, a guys wallet with everything still inside, ( i returned it to the rightful owner after i closed up my thrift store that day. It’s the items that i find and save them hoping the person comes back to drop off more items so i can return what i have found, that they may not have known they lost it. Till this day I’m waiting to see if i see this one customer again cause i found a very expensive watch in a pants pocket valued at over $1,700. NO I’m not going to keep it, i want to do the right thing and return it to the rightful owner safe and sound. And i never accept any money as a reward, I’m just an honest person.

i used to be a thrift store manager, and we relied on donations, so it was part of my job to go thru and inspect everything donated to the store. i found something a couple had dropped off one day, and before they left i gave it back to them, and i asked them for a contact number incase i found anything else. About an hour later i had to call them back cause i found a piece of jewelry that looked expensive, low and behold, the piece of jewelry belonged to her late mother that she bought while on a trip to Spain. The lady wanted to give me $500 as a generous reward for finding it, but i did not accept the money. I’m just glad she got her late mother’s piece of jewelry back safe and sound.
