Not a fan of those round outside pockets on both of them… And also, the collar on the original one is too big IMO.

Nah. The alpaca lining makes the N1. This lightweight version isn’t it.

It’s a beautiful jacket, well made, very versatile. Just don’t love corduroy collars, they tend to get dirty a bit especially with longer hair. Not sure about the shape of the collar, but time will tell. I like a lot of my collars up some of the time.

IH n1 is not that warm as much as people claim it to be. The worst is the quilted sleeves, which is mainly a cost saving strategy. I know people are subjective but ih should consider lining the sleeves with wool/alpaca. On the other hand, i have all the 3 colours of the lightweight n1 and i love them. I live in an arctic region btw.

Yeah, my BR N1 is pretty warm, but it’s no midwinter jacket for me, comfortable down to -10° C or so.
What it’s good for in my case is work, where I’m in and out of a van all day.

For some reason, the lightweight has absolutely no appeal to me. I have the n1 normal and love it. Feel like I have enough lighter weight jackets and it doesn’t stand out in lightweight
