You mentioned that you consider the handle a downgrade, but can you explain why? How is it different from the previous version?

I just bought 2 of the previous versions bags from OfferUp locally for $75 each. Excellent condition. The biggest complaint i keep seeing is that people who have the previous version like the one I have with the red aluminum handle say it’s better quality. Reviewers are saying this new version handle feels cheap and the bag overall quality is not the same. The handle on my 2 feel great. Best i have ever felt on this tomorrow of bag. I serious think i got a great deal at 2 for $150 total.

Would this be good for check ins also? I usually just do carry on, but sometimes I just don’t wanna worry about a bag and check it in.

Great video. Much appreciated. I personally switch between the duffel version of the base camp and the Osprey Transporter 40 but I was thinking about getting this for my girlfriend. Are the measurements of 14″ X 22″ X 8.5″ accurate? I want this to be a carry on for her so I’d like to avoid any issues of being forced to check this is if possible. Bag looks great but my only concern is this doesn’t have as much of the ability to be able to pack this down like a duffel.
Do you find it to be a good carry on? Assuming you use it that way. Or should I go a size down?

I have the previous version of the rolling thunder 22 and I love it. Just bought my lady this new version, exactly like the one in your video and it feels like it gotten smaller. Maybe because of the new shell?
