I think I made my mind up. I love love love the “dirty laundry/shoe” compartment they snuck in there. The website I’m ordering from failed to mention that. I also like the idea of the 3 major packing compartments bc I HATE having to open the main packing compartment to get my laptop bc i don’t like my personal items, medication, etc being on show while I pull out my laptop. Couple questions for the creator and anyone reading this. (1). What brand of packing cubes do you like using? I love the entire Eagle Creek (EC) line but I could spend literally $150 bucks on just EC packing accessories. I’d like to find an decent alternative, but I’m not “gentle” and use them like 365 24×7 so I need them to be bulletproof. (2) I never wear the hip/waist strap. Is it detachable or hide-able? My current pack has one and it isn’t detachable or hide-able but I rigged it so it would lay flat against the back support. Not perfect solution bc the buckle sometimes starts to bug me after wearing it for hours. 3. How has the pack held up? In the video it looks to be new even tho you said you traveled pretty extensively with it. Is it still holding up. 4. Anything else you have to add is appreciated. I’ve not actually examined this pack in real life but it’s on sale right now, it’s the right size, and it has more features than I even imagined so I think I’m gonna order it now. i just bought mine..but made in vietnam☺..the bag is so good,many big compartments to secure your needs..

I actually bought this bag for my 10 day Europe trip because of this review! thank you!

I got it on sale at REI and it was the perfect balance between looks, functionality, compartments, and price. I definitely need packing cubes to help with the main compartment organization and ease.
