Very good product review. Definitely helped me understand the difference between the two versions. Also thanks for the captions.
Question: I’m looking for a great mid-layer jacket. I have the North Face Mountain Light Triclimate Jacket but when I took it hiking in Patagonia , water got through the shell openings and into the down mid-layer and made the insulation useless. I’m looking at replacing the down mid-layer with the Ventrix. Do you think it can keep warm while at rest in 20 degree weather?

Great review. I have been searching for a detailed review for a few days now. But I have a question I hope you don’t mind answering. I’m looking for a light weight jacket that will keep me warm as I work outside during the winter. (50% walking, 50% hands on work With a bit of climbing). Im typically carrying at least 50 lbs on my back and hunched over my shoulder so i need a slim but warm jacket. The temp usually drops to about 10-20 degrees at my job site. While wearing warm base layers, will this suit those conditions? I’m fine with buying an outer layer for casual wear but at work I need this to be the outer layer to keep me light weight And functional.
