How has it been holding up? I’ve read really good thing about the women’s version but also that it’s uncomfortable and the mesh pockets rip very very easily (which isn’t a problem for me as I will be using it as a carry on and take a smaller backpack out of it as a personal item).

So the jester is very similar just more simpler. Does the new one with the separate laptop compartment take away from the main storage unit

There’s a newer version of this bag – with a separate easy access laptop compartment, and different configuration of the front bungees.

Great review – details of the models and construction are brilliant before you go out to buy one! Love shock cord on my packs super handy for jackets/jumpers.
