Isn’t The Northface Mountain Jacket a two layer jacket while The Northface Mountain Light is a three layer construction ? I think these are entirely different GTX construction bonding techniques. Three layer being the inclusion of a hanging liner. But I am a little confused today with the descriptions out there on these jackets in making a purchase choice.

Have same jacket. Sent it in to North face for the elastic straps to be replaced an hole in pocket to be repaired an it’s not as water proof as was even when washed an treated properly. North face told me ” it’s past it’s life time an will not fix it or replace it” I had to speak to supervisor to have the straps an pocket fixed an have it returned. I ask for documentation what’s considered the lifetime and what is covered. North Face could not produce what that refers to.
