rode as a courier in chicago for a few years round 2009-11. we all ran fixed because it was easier to trackstand at lights without unclipping and mostly autism. 60 or so miles per day, flipping dumb nuts amount of calories. if you have the opportunity, grab a cyclocross tire for your rear and run slick or whatever you want up front, but that tread helps big time in the rain/sleet/snow and if you run fixed itll give a little more life between tire changes.

I have the same thoughts about riding hahah- those guys on the e-bikes just fly by you and aren’t even using the pedals. still try and race em tho can’t lie so many of them in toronto it pisses me off a bit
