Over the years, my car jackets last between one year and three years during the first year the material at the sleeve openings at the wrist wear down and become stringy. And because the Carhartt product is made in places where there’s cheap labor the dies are not precise from one manufacturing country to another. Meaning a pair of trousers made in one country is not the same size as that made in another country. The dies Made in the United States to cut the material are precise . A 30 inch waist with a 30 inch inseam cut in country M may be a larger or smaller size that is fabricated and country G.

My Levi jeans last long than my Charhart pants. I rip them all the time and even the buttons fall off. I’ve had two zippers fall off my sweat shirt as well

The Carhartt standard farming jacket I bought last fall (J130-M) is a made in Mexico one, but it thick, doesn’t have loose lining, built in hood, protection of cinched wrist area, and brass, and is LVL 3 weather rated for Midwest winters. So it must depend on the model, I’ve definitely seen flimsier, modern Carhartt, but my jacket definitely isn’t.
