The stone glacier Grumman is amazing I’ve been to Alaska with it, winter camped, and used it in the mountains of Idaho and Utah. Incredible piece that doesn’t leave my pack. I prefer solid colors which may have pushed me to SG over Kuiu or Sitka. Great puffy nonetheless!!

I prefer the fabric designs of KUIU and Sitka, although they are expensive, they are more unique and can be worn everyday or outdoors

Very nice review. I ended my time shopping and spending the ungodly amount of money on these jackets. The SG is too light and brittle and the KUIU is too tailored. I mean, we are supposed to wear an overshirt or shell with these as further wind protection. Sooo, two seasons ago, just went and bought an Outdoor Reasurch down hoodie for $ 200 on sale that is 700 down fill and larger than any of these. it will not pack down small, but I feel if I am going into the back woods, a dwon jacket is something I want to have a little bigger that i can use a poncho like thing. I like that because you can use it as a pillow better as well when sleeping in your sleeping bag. I feel the OR works just as good and I wore it in 12 degrees this year without a shell and was fine. And I can wear it in the off-season too. I am 5,11 and 213 and I felt the KUIU vest XL was like a life preserver on me.
